Listing policy

Effective October 30, 2026

This policy applies to every job on Ophthalmic Tech Jobs, whether an employer posts it or we gather it from a public career page.

What we list

  • Real, currently open jobs for ophthalmic technicians, ophthalmic assistants, and closely related clinical roles in eye care, such as scribes, surgical techs in ophthalmology and imaging techs.
  • Jobs based in the United States.
  • One job per listing. Multiple openings for the same role at the same location can share a listing.

What we don't list

  • Jobs that charge applicants a fee for training, certification, background checks or equipment.
  • Commission-only roles, multi-level marketing, or "opportunities" that aren't employment.
  • Listings that ask applicants for Social Security numbers, bank details or payment information.
  • Listings that discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, sexual orientation, gender identity, national origin, age, disability, genetic information, veteran status, or any other legally protected status.
  • Staffing-agency listings that don't name the actual role and location.
  • Jobs that are filled, closed or not actually open.

What every employer listing must include

  • Job title, employer name, and city and state.
  • Experience required and certification requirements: required at hire, preferred, earn after hire, required within a set time, or not required.
  • Whether the practice provides training: yes, or no formal training.
  • A working application link on a secure (https) page.

Review

  • We review every new employer and every new listing before it goes live. We usually respond within 2 business days.
  • We may ask for changes, such as clearer requirements, before approving.
  • After a listing is live, small edits like schedule or description updates go live right away. Changes to pay, the title, the employer or the requirements go back to review, and the live listing stays as it was until approved.

Curated listings

  • Some listings come from employers' own public career pages. Each one links to the original posting and shows when we last checked it.
  • We recheck curated listings regularly and close them when the original posting is gone.
  • Employers can claim a curated listing to manage it. If you'd rather it not appear, email hello@ophthalmictechjobs.com from your work address and we'll remove it within 2 business days.

Reporting a problem

Every job page has a "Report a problem" link. Use it if a job is closed, inaccurate, misleading or a scam. We review every report.

Our right to remove listings

We may decline, edit for formatting, pause or remove any listing that doesn't follow this policy. If we remove a paid listing for a reason that isn't the employer's fault, we'll refund it. See the Terms for details.
